A memorandum of understanding between Damascus University and the Syrian-Chinese Business Council to support the teaching of the Chinese language
Damascus University and the Syrian-Chinese Business Council signed today a memorandum of understanding to support the teaching of the Chinese language, and to develop joint cooperation between them in the areas of promoting scientific and linguistic exchange, qualification, training, knowledge dissemination, and community service.
According to the memorandum signed by the President of the University of Damascus, Dr. Muhammad Osama al-Jabban, and the President of the Syrian-Chinese Business Council, Muhammad Hamsho, the Council seeks to link the Higher Institute of Languages at the University of Damascus with recognized official or private Chinese universities specialized in teaching languages, in a way that contributes to enhancing the learning of the language of each country in the other country, as well as striving to secure an online educational platform to encourage distance learning, and to receive the largest number of Chinese and Arabic language learners.
Damascus University, according to the memorandum, provides expertise, consultations, and the latest curricula with all additional educational means, to facilitate the learning of the Arabic language for those wishing, through professional work at the Higher Institute of Languages and the expertise it has.
