A mass celebration on occasion of liberating neighborhoods and towns of northern countryside of Deir Ezzor

On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the liberation of the neighborhoods and towns located in Al- Jazira area in the northern countryside of DeirEzzor, a mass celebration was held in the Martyrs Square in the town of Mazloum. 

The participants delivered speeches and poems in which they noted that the liberation of this region came thanks to the sacrifices of martyrs and the heroism of the men of the Syrian Arab Army led by President Bashar al-Assad. They expressed their hope to complete the liberation of the rest of the Syrian Jaziraand the entire soil of the homeland from terrorism and occupation.

Sheikh Huwaidi Al-Hindawi, the sheikh of the Al-Rashid clan, said that this day constitutes a beautiful memory for all the people of the region, because it is the day when the men of the Syrian Arab Army were able to purify their villages and towns from terrorism. He praised the government‘s support that contributed to the rapid return of services to the region.

Sheikh Jamil Al-Shalal from the town of Khesham drew attention to the sacrifices of the martyrs and the heroism of the men of the Syrian Arab Army, which contributed to the return of the people to their homes after their displacement due to the terrorism that targeted the stone and human beings. He stressed that all the people of Syria are continuing to rebuild what was destroyed by terrorism.

Mukhtar Murat Muhammad al-Rakkad indicated that the people of the region have great confidence in the men of the Syrian Arab Army under the leadership of President al-Assad to complete the victories and liberate the entire territory of the Syrian Jazira. He voiced support to the army in the battle of liberation and reconstruction of what was destroyed by terrorism.

Head of the Mazloum Town Council, Younis al-Khidr, said that the seven neighborhoods and towns in the northern countryside of the governorate, “Khesham, Al-Tabia, Mazloum, Hatla, Marrat, Al-Husseiniya, and Al-Salhiya” have witnessed since their liberation from terrorism at the end of 2017, a state of recovery as a result of government support that contributed to the return of services and reconstruction of what was destroyed by terrorism. This contributed to the massive return of the people, which reached about 75,000 citizens, who were a decisive factor in the pushing the wheel of production forward.

It is noteworthy that on September 18, 2017, the Syrian Arab Army units managed to cross the Euphrates River, enter the area, and cleanse it of ISIS terrorists.
