A Lebanese team heads to Aleppo to provide medical aid to those affected by the earthquake

Beirut (ST): A team from the “Development for Life and Peace” Association set out from the Lebanese town of Anout to Syria to provide medical aid to those affected by the earthquake in the city of Aleppo.

The team equipped with all necessities for  a field hospital that will provide medical services for a month, in coordination with the Lebanese Higher Relief Commission and the concerned Syrian authorities.

The team will also provide other in-kind assistance, part of which will be contributed by the National Education Scouts, the Mishta Hassan Regiment – Akkar,  “The Change Makers’ Association, Lebanese citizens and a number of Lebanese agencies and associations.

Meanwhile, a convoy of food aid arrived from the Russian Coordination Center to the Mazar Qatria municipality in  Latakia Countryside to be distributed to the earthquake-affected people.

The official of the humanitarian convoys at the Russian Coordination Center, Major Alexander, stated in a statement to news reporter that the aid includes foodstuffs and clothes, which will be distributed to 200 families, pointing out that the Russian side continues to provide support and aid to reach all affected areas.
