A Lebanese Army Soldier and Five Civilians Martyred in Israeli occupation Airstrikes

Beirut, (ST) – A Lebanese Army soldier and five civilians were martyred in Israeli occupation airstrikes on several areas in Lebanon during the past hours.

The Lebanese National News Agency quoted the Lebanese Army as saying in a statement: An Israeli enemy drone targeted an army vehicle on the Burj Al-Muluk-Qalaa road in the south, which led to the martyrdom of a soldier and the injury of others with moderate injuries.

An enemy raid on a house in the town of Ma’rakah led to the martyrdom of two people, while another raid on a house in the town of Zifta led to the martyrdom of three people.

In addition, the Israeli occupation warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes accompanied by heavy phosphorous and artillery shelling, targeting Naqoura, Deir Qanoun, Ras Al-Ain, al-Jubin, Al-Mansouri, Qana, Aitat, Zebqin, Wadi Hamoul, Ain Baal, and east of the town of Burj Al-Muluk and Kfar Shouba.

The town of Khiyam and the Marjeyoun plain were subjected to heavy artillery shelling throughout the night and until the early hours of dawn, while enemy aircraft flew at low altitudes, launching thermal balloons and flare bombs over the areas of the eastern sector of the south.
