Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Israeli occupation entity announced that several official websites have stopped working after they were subjected to a cyber attack.
The Cyber Security Directorate of the occupation entity said in a statement that, “a denial of service attack, “Dados”, was detected on a telecommunications provider, which disrupted access to a number of websites, including government websites.”
The directorate did not specify the source of the attack, which is carried out by flooding the servers of the targeted site with access requests.
Although access to the occupation government’s website has been restored from inside occupied Palestine, it cannot be accessed internationally, according to the “Netblocks” organization, which specializes in monitoring Internet traffic around the world.
Haaretz newspaper quoted an Israeli technical source as saying that this is the largest cyber attack ever against the occupation entity.
