A group of Syrian students hold a concert in the Russian language in Moscow

Within the framework of their visit to Russia, Syrian students, who are studying the Russian language in Syrian schools,  held a concert in the Russian language in the capital, Moscow, in the presence of the Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Dr. Riad Haddad, and a large crowd of the Russian people.. 
 
The ceremony, which was held on August 15th,  at the cultural center called “Patriot Park” of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the outskirts of the capital, Moscow, included some Syrian national songs. 
 
In his speech to the participants in the event, Haddad said: “ This step comes within the framework of several steps taken by Syria and Russia to achieve the common vision launched by the two leaders, President Bashar al-Assad and President Vladimir Putin, to deepen social and cultural relations that bring together the peoples of our two friendly countries.” 
 
The ambassador pointed out that the Syrian-Russian relations proved to be true brotherhood, friendship and cooperation based on respect. 
 
He stressed that the fruits of this cooperation were embodied in Syria’s victory over terrorist organizations with the determination  of the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army and the support of the Russian armed forces.
 
 
The ambassador  clarified that the Syrian-Russian relations of cooperation and friendship did not stop at the borders of the fight against terrorism, but rather proved their distinction at all levels and took an upward trend in all frameworks to yield victory in all fields. 
 
For his part, General Mikhail Mezintsev, thevhead of the National Center for Defense Administration of the Russian Federation, confirmed that these Syrian students, with their flowing vitality and their aspiration to the future, embody the face of Syria at the present time. 
 
General Mezintsev said: “A severe blow has been dealt with international terrorism in Syria, and now it is the time for reconstruction and rebuilding of infrastructure in all sectors of economy, including industry, agriculture, transportation, the social sector in general, education and culture.”
 
The two students, Ali Saeed and Ola Al-Baraa’, expressed their happiness over visiting Russia, noting that they had visited beautiful historical places such as the Red Square, the Kremlin, the zoo, and others. 
 
The students, Jawi Hussein, Lina Hassan and Aya Abdul Karim Zenim from the “Dar Al-Aman” School of the Children of  Martyrs, said that the trip was interesting and that Moscow was very beautiful, and that they came to learn about Russia’s culture and ancient history. 
 
In turn, the Russian citizen, Svetlana Rudkina, working in the Syrian Ministry of Education, said that the students who are studying the Russian language in Syria were honored by the Russian Ministry of Defense and in coordination with the Ministry of Education to visit the capital, Moscow. 
 
For her part, the Russian language teacher in a Syrian school, Susanna Zahra, said that this visit was a dream for Syrian students in the difficult circumstances that our country, Syria, has experienced. 
 
The group which is composed of 46 male and female Syrian students from various Syrian governorates, arrived in Moscow last Thursday evening on a visit to Russia that will last until the 17th  of August, at the invitation of the Russian Ministry of Defense and in coordination between the Ministries of Education in Syria and Russia.
