A German parliamentarian: The government did not abide by the arms embargo on Saudi Arabia

On January 3rd, Member for the Green Party in the German Bundestag (Parliament)Umid Nuribor criticized the German government’s failure to adhere to the ban on arms exports to the Saudi regime, which is leading an aggression against the Yemeni people.

“The clause on the arms embargo for the parties involved in the Yemen war is not worth the paper it was written on,” Deutsche Welle quoted Nuribor as saying.

Nuribor said that the German government did not abide by the ban.

In 2018, the German government announced that it would stop arms exports to the parties involved in the aggression against Yemen, especially the Saudi regime.
