A general strike in Bethlehem to reject the Israeli occupation’s crimes against the prisoners

On September 23rd, a general strike has taken place in the city of Bethlehem in the West Bank to reject the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners.

Wafa News Agency stated that the strike called by Fatah Movement and the Palestinian national forces includes economic, service and educational sectors in rejection of the continuous crimes of the occupation against the prisoners.

On September 22nd’s evening, Hussein Masalmeh, the leukemia patient, who was martyred as a result of the deterioration of his health as a result of deliberate medical neglect in the Israeli occupation prisons.

It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities arrested the prisoner Masalma in 2002 and spent 19 years in their detention.

At the end of 2020, his health deteriorated due to medical neglect in the Negev detention center. Since his liberation from occupation last February, he was transferred to the hospital to be martyred there yesterday evening.
