A fire in agricultural and forest lands extinguished in the Kafr Aqeed area in Misyaf

Hama (ST): Firefighting and forest protection personnel put out a fire that broke out in areas of agricultural land in the Kafr Aqeed area in Misyaf, in the countryside of Hama.

The head of the Forest Protection Center in Misyaf, Amjad Hammad, stated in a statement to news reporter that 3 firefighting units equipped with 3 tanks and more than 50 personnel put out a fire that broke out at night hours in the Kafr Aqeed area, which has many oak forests.

Hammad pointed out that the fire-extinguishing operations took 5 continuous hours, and currently the firefighting teams are cooling the fire foci, which destroyed an area of 5 dunums of forest and fruit trees.
