A fire in a ship extinguished at Latakia port

Latakia (ST): The members of the Latakia Fire Brigade and the Civil Defense Department in the Latakia Port Company put out a fire that broke out in a ship during the maintenance process that was taking place in the port.

The fire caused a number of ship workers to suffer shortness of breath, which necessitated their transfer to the hospital for treatment, according to the Director General of the port company, Amjad Suleiman, who explained in a statement to news reporter that the workers were discharged from the hospital after providing them with oxygen and the required emergency measures.

Suleiman confirmed that the ship was empty and came to the port of Latakia for maintenance.
