A fire breaks out in the forests of Wadi Al-Masis in the countryside of Lattakia

 

Latakia (ST): The firefighting teams in the Forestry Department of the Directorate of Agriculture in Lattakia, with the support of the fire brigade, continue their efforts to control the fire that broke out in the forests of Wadi Al-Masis in the countryside of Al-Haffah, with the participation of a helicopter of the Syrian Arab Army.

 

Director of Lattakia Agriculture, Engineer Basem Doba, told news reporter that the fire broke out in a harsh rocky cliff area that is difficult for vehicles to reach, which forced the firefighters to extend water cannons for long distances.

In turn, the Governor of Latakia, Ibrahim Khader Al-Salem, who monitors the operations of extinguishing the fire from the site, requested the participation of helicopters to help, especially in areas that the mechanisms cannot reach, while about 10 firefighting vehicles and feeding tanks from the Directorate of Agriculture, supported by two fire engines from the Lattakia Fire Brigade, participate in extinguishing the fire.
