A farewell ceremony held for the Mauritanian ambassador in Damascus on the occasion of ending his mission in Syria  

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh held a farewell ceremony for the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Damascus Ahmed Edi Muhammad Al-Razi on the occasion of the end of his duties as his country’s ambassador to Syria, in appreciation of his efforts in developing and strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

In a speech, Sabbagh stressed the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, and the importance of developing and strengthening them in various fields, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

In turn, Ambassador Al-Razi thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates for holding this farewell ceremony, and for the support it provided to him during his period of work in Damascus, expressing his gratitude for the support that Syria provided to the Mauritanian students to pursue their education in Syrian universities.

The ceremony was attended by some Arab countries’ ambassadors and a number of department directors in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
