A Cultural Battle Field “an Exhibition in Berlin”

DAMASCUS, (ST) -A documentary exhibition has been recently opened in Berlin.

The main theme of the exhibition is about the Syrian archaeological sites in Aleppo and old Homs cites.

 The exhibition displays a large collection of photographs taken by expert Kathleen Goupil during her trip to Syria last May of this year.

The exhibition is organized by the Arab Friendship Society based in Germany in cooperation with the Association of International Cultural Cooperation, the Association of Friends in Aleppo and the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums in Syria.

The exhibition shed some lights on the damages of cultural relics in Syria caused by armed terrorist groups, in particular the cities of Aleppo and old Homs.

The exhibition is held under the title “the battlefield cultural dangers”.

 The exhibition will run till the 10th of December accompanied with a series of lectures to be presented by Dr. Mamoon Abdul Karim Director-General of Antiquities and Museums, and professors from Germany.
