A convoy of electrical equipment and supplies arrives in Lattakia

Latakia, (ST) – Today, a convoy of electrical equipment and supplies necessary to maintain the electrical network, improve its reality and increase its reliability, made up of 12 trucks, including towers, anchors, cables and transformers of various capacities, arrived in Latakia.

The Minister of Electricity, Engineer Ghassan Al-Zamil was briefed during a tour of the village of Al-Marijin in the northern countryside of the governorate, about what has been accomplished in terms of rehabilitating the medium tension line, the reality of work in the two power and transmission stations of Al-Rastan.

In a press statement during the tour, Minister Al-Zamil said that the equipment supplied to Lattakia will contribute to increasing the reliability of the electrical network in the governorate before the onset of winter. He added that the work is going on at a high rate at the Rastan substation, which is currently in the testing phase, and within ten days it will be put into service pending the operation of the first gas turbine.
