A concert held at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts on the 80th Anniversary of Establishing Syrian-Russian diplomatic relations

Damascus- Syria and Russia have celebrated the 80th Anniversary of establishing the Syrian-Russian diplomatic ties. On this occasion, a concert was held at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascua attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad and the Russian Ambassador to Syria Alexander Yefimov.

Al-Mikdad said in a speech during the ceremony that Syrian-Russian relations have witnessed, throughout their long history, great and important developments that made Damascus and Moscow go beyond the limits of traditional friendship and establish new levels of strategic cooperation.

Al-Mikdad pointed out that Syria is proud of this path that is full of joint victories by the two friendly countries in all fields and is looking forward to more cooperation and solidarity in the light of the current circumstances in the world.

“We are all confident that we stand on the cusp of a great victory in which the civilizational model that Russia and many countries of the world defend, which is based on dialogue, respect for others, and the interests of peoples, will triumph over the model of the clash of civilizations that was promoted in the West.”

In turn, the Russian ambassador said that Syrian-Russian relations have overcome all difficulties, stressing that Russia is always ready to provide support to Syria.
