A comprehensive strike in the West Bank in support of Gaza and rejection of the occupation’s aggression

A comprehensive strike took place in all cities and towns of the West Bank today in support of the stricken Gaza Strip and in rejection of the Israeli occupation’s continued aggression against it for the 66th day.

Wafa Agency reported that the strike called for by the Palestinian national forces included all aspects of life, and universities, banks, shops, and factories were closed, and public transportation witnessed a strike on all lines.

The national forces explained in a statement yesterday that the strike comes within the global movement calling for a strike around the world, demanding an end to the aggression against the Strip, calling for demonstrations in the squares of cities, villages, and camps to express the unity of blood and destiny and a victory for the defenseless innocents. The strike also called to send a message to the world that the Palestinian people will stand strongly against attempts of uprooting and displacement and that they will continue their legitimate struggle until freedom and independence are achieved.

The forces indicated that the peoples of the entire earth will unite in the face of the injustice, murder, and racism practiced by the occupation, and will triumph for the blood of children, women, and the elderly, victims of its organized terrorism.

The national forces stated that the world rejects the United States’ full support for the occupation and rejects the “veto” that failed to pass a resolution in the Security Council for a ceasefire in Gaza. The strike is a message from the living peoples to stand by the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

17,997 Palestinians were martyred and 49,229 were injured as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression against the Gaza Strip since the seventh of this month, which has met with widespread international rejection, as demonstrations spread across cities and capitals of the world, demanding that  it stop.
