A child dies in a landmine explosion in the countryside of Daraa

Daraa (ST) – A child martyred and his five brothers were injured as a result of the explosion of a landmine, left behind by terrorist, in the agriculture plains in Namer town in the northeast countryside of Daraa.

Director of the General Authority of Daraa National Hospital, Dr. Yahya Kiwan, said in a statement to SANA “The hospital , today, received  6 siblings, between the ages of one and a half and fifteen years, all had moderate to serious injuries as a result of a landmine explosion in the agricultural plains in Namer town”.

Kiwan pointed out that an eleven-old-years boy died immediately of his wound, while the necessary aid was provided to the other children. One of these children will be transferred to Damascus because of a vascular injury he has.

Recently, a member of the Internal Security Forces was martyred when an explosive device went off in his car while he was going to his work near Al-Sina’a roundabout in the center of Daraa city.
