A car bomb explosion in Qamishli City

On August 18, a car bomb exploded in al-Arbawiadistrict opposite the Industrial Secondary School in al-Qamishli city, 600km northeast Damascus.

An eyewitness said to Syria Times  two civilians were killed and others were injured and hospitalized at Al-Rahmah Hospital.

“About 8.35 am, I heard a big explosion. I went to the area andI saw a demolished car which had exploded near the Industrial Secondary School. Dozens of people gathered to hospitalize thewounded  to Al-Rahma Hospital,” an eyewitness from Qamishly city  said to Syria Times by phone.

“This explosion came after Daesh threats against the province of Hassaka,” he added.

On August 7, a car bomb targeted the Telecommunication and Phone Center in al-Qahtaniah town, east Qasmishly.
