Cairo (ST): An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck areas of northwestern Egypt today.
“Youm7” website quoted the head of the Egyptian National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, Gad Al-Qadi, as saying today: The institute’s stations recorded the quake 265 km northwest of Marsa Matrouh, and at a depth of 13.68 km.
The judge indicated that there was no information about any material or human losses resulting from the earthquake.
