Israeli occupation forces open fire against demonstrators, confiscate more lands and uproot trees in occupied Palestinian territories
OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)- Dozens of Palestinians suffered from wounds and suffocation after the Israeli occupation forces opened fire and threw gas bombs on demonstrators in Kafr Qaddoum village who weekly gather to express their rejection of the occupation’s settlement activities and to call for opening the village’s street, to the north of Qalqilya in the West Bank, that has been closed for 17 years.
Wafa news agency quoted the Popular Resistance Coordinator in Kafr Qaddoum village Murad Shteiwi as saying that the occupation forces stormed the village, opened fire at protestors and threw gas bombs to disperse them, causing injuries to four Palestinians and suffocation to dozens others.
The village of Kafr Qaddoum witness weekly demonstrations which have become part of public life in the village whose lands have been swallowed by the occupation’s Apartheid Wall and settlement activities.
In the meantime, the occupation forces, during their incursion into the north of the besieged Gaza Strip detained four Palestinians.
The occupation forces carry out daily incursions into Palestinian lands on the outskirts of the besieged Strip. They also raze the lands to prevent Palestinian farmers from cultivating their fields and benefitting from them in the light of the years-long unfair siege.
In Nablus, the Israeli occupation forces ordered the confiscation of 803 dunums of Palestinian land near the village of Duma, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, Wafa News Agency reported.
Ghassan Daghlas, the official who monitors Israeli settlement activities in the north of the West Bank, told WAFA that the Israeli occupation forces handed the farmers a notice informing them about their intention to take over 803 dunums of the village’s land, under the pretext of drilling for groundwater. The real aim of this move is to expand a settlement that has already been built in this area.
Earlier in the day, the occupation forces raided with bulldozers the Palestinian town of Biddya in the West Bank city of Salfit and uprooted 200 fruit trees.
