Coronavirus kills more than 932,000 people around the world

Capitals, (ST) – The Corona virus has claimed the lives of 932,801 people around the world since its appearance last December.

The Worldo meter website stated that the total number of Covid-19 infections worldwide reached 29448949, while the number of people recovering from the disease reached 21,280,193.

In India, the Ministry of Health announced today the registration of 83,809 new infections with the virus, which is the lowest daily number of infections in a week, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 4,93 million.

The ministry said that the number of deaths increased by 1054 cases during the past 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to more than 80,000 cases.

In Germany, data from the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases showed today that 1,407 corona infections were recorded, bringing the total to 261762, while two deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 9362 cases.

In Australia, the state of Victoria recorded 42 new cases of Coronavirus today, compared to 35 the previous day, while no new deaths were recorded

In China, the National Health Committee announced today the registration of eight new infections with the virus yesterday, all of them from abroad, bringing the total number of infections to 85,202, while the number of deaths remained at 4,634 cases.

In the Arab world, the Moroccan Ministry of Health announced that it had recorded 1517 cases and 36 new deaths from the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 88,203, deaths to 1614, and recoveries to 68,970.

In Egypt, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 168 infections and 13 new deaths from the virus, bringing the total number of infections until yesterday evening to 101,177, of which 84,969 were recovered and 5,661 deaths.
