Junior Chamber International in Latakia launches “ Rising Star” Project to support young artistic talents

With the aim of reviving cultural movement , the Junior International  Chamber ( JCI)  in Lattakia  has launched its new project, ” Rising  Star”, which opens the way for young people to present  their talents in the fields of painting, music, dance, singing, acting, sports, literature and mathematics..

The project, which is being held in cooperation with the Damascus Opera House, De Marketing Lines  Marketing Company,   Gimni  Active Studio and a number of Syrian artists , depends on a voting mechanism on  social media  in addition to the audience’s interaction on  the contestants’ private pages.

 

The local president of  JCI in Lattakia Irfan Dwidari said in a statement to Syriatimes e-newspaper that the project aims to shed light on young talents and introduce  them to the world, especially  in light of the Corona pandemic.

She underlined that JCI in Lattakia  seeks through its project on  social media to  use  modern technologies and methods  with the aim of  promoting positive competition among talents  and empowering youth to create positive change.

On his part ,  the project manager Maestro  Mohammed Farhat indicated  the  new voting mechanism, which  is used for the first time on social media , based on the ability of a person to market himself and convince the community of his talent, adding  that the three-month project includes conducting various training in all marketing, personal and artistic fields by experts which  represents the first step in  rising  talents . 

The project will be concluded with a celebration  at the Damascus Opera House, during  which the winners and members of the project’s jury  will be honored and prizes will be distributed .

It is noteworthy that the  JCI  in Lattakia was established in 2008 and includes more than 150 members. It undertakes various projects that contribute to the development of individuals and create positive change in society within the four work domains including individuals, society, business and international scope.
