Schools countrywide to welcome students for new academic year amid anti-coronavirus precautionary measures

DAMASCUS, (ST)- More than 13,000 schools in different Syrian provinces are due to welcome 3.8 million students for the academic year 2020-2021 amid precautionary measures to confront the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The education Ministry issued a health protocol for the return of the students to school in a way that maintain education in Syria and protect the students and teachers’ health and safety at the same time.

The ministry, through its education directorates in the provinces took several precautionay measures including disinfection and sterilization campaigns in all the schools, providing health environment for the study and supplying the schools’ health departments with medical tools to check students’ health.
