US-backed SDF militia kidnaps a number of youths in the countryside of Deir Ezzor and Raqqa

RAQQA, DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- US-backed Kurdish militia called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Thursday kidnapped a number of youths from some villages in the countryside of Deir Ezzor and Raqqa.

Local sources told SANA that a group of SDF militants stormed the village of al-Baghouz in Deir Ezzor eastern countryside, kidnapped several youths and took them to an unknown place, amid a state of panic among civilians, particularly women and children, because of this aggressive behavior.

In the meantime, the SDF militia established checkpoints in al-Mansoura village in Raqqa western countryside. The militants intercepted the passing cars and locals and kidnapped a number of youths in order to force them to fight within the ranks of this militia.

On Wednesday, SDF militants besieged Jdeed Egaidat village, to the southeast of Deir Ezzor city, and prevented the locals from entering or leaving the village to meet their daily requirements. The aim is to tighten the noose on the locals who reject the presence of SDF in this village. Another group of SDF militants also stormed al-Hamdaneyeh village in the far southern countryside of Hasaka and kidnapped two civilians from their home.
