Zarif: US hypocrisy arouses astonishment

Tehran (ST): Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif  affirmed that US hypocrisy arouses surprise as it developed arms and sold it with hundreds of billions of US dollars and at the same time insists on preventing Iran from buying defensive weapons.

Irna news agency quoted Zarif as saying in a tweet today that the US has been insistent that Iran doesn’t benefit from peaceful nuclear energy, not to buy defensive equipment and not to manufacture rockets whereas it spends 100billion US dollars to manufacture ballistic missiles and secret nuclear weapons. Moreover, he added, the US sells weapons to its regional customers at about 380 billion US dollars.
