Workers and maintenance workshops exert ceaseless efforts at the Alouk station in Hasaka to pump and secure water for citizens

The maintenance workshops of the Potable Water Corporation in Al-Hasaka continue to carry out maintenance operations for the wells of Alouk station in the eastern countryside of Ras Al-Ain to put them in full capacity in order to ensure the continuation of the drinking water situation.

In a statement to SANA correspondent, the director of Al-Hasaka Water Corporation, Eng. Mahmoud Okla, confirmed the continuation of the water pumping situation from the Alouk station towards the neighborhoods of Hasaka city and the population complexes that extend along the traction line, in light of the company’s workers continuous efforts to directly supervise and maintain the station, pointing out to the efforts currently exerted to put the remaining wells within the station into service.

 

Okla pointed out that there are 17 wells in the station working continuously after the repair and maintenance operations with the operation of 3 pumps. 80 percent of the station is in service and 50 thousand cubic meters from working wells are pumped daily to the western and southern parts of the city according to the scheduled program and within the specified dates.

Okla stated that the maintenance workers and technical workshops of the Corporation are currently supervising the operation and maintenance within the Alouk station, thanks to the follow-up and governmental and international efforts that have been made to return maintenance workers to the station and stay within it to supervise its pumping and tackle any emergency.

The director of the Water Corporation indicated,”some people complain of poor pumping and the lack of water reaching their homes. But this issue is being followed up through specialized technical workshops to suppress violations on network lines.”
