Good self-care will help you prepare your body and your mind as you begin your healing journey to overcome sadness. When,  your psychological chain gets yanked , it is all too easy to get overwhelmed by powerful feelings. But loosing control of your emotions is never a good thing. It makes responding effectively to the situation just about impossible, So it is crucial to develop a skill set that enables you to loosen the tight grip your emotions may be exerting over you.

Adnan Al-Ali has managed to  overcome his sorrows and the pains of  the nine-years war on  his country Syria and the loss of his son. Art motivated and attracted him to transform  wood into unique artistic  works which  vibrate  with life and creativity by  making beautiful works from damaged materials.

Al-Ali’s message is reflected by his hard work and patience in his modest workshop in  “Mazzeh 86” district in Damascus , where he  embodies  intellectual and professional ability expressing that life is full of goodness and love despite the Syrians’ suffering from the repercussions of the war.

Al-Ali pointed to SANA that he seeks to transform  solid wood pieces into wooden antiques which  depend on precision in work and technique in achievement, stressing   that this craft reflects his viewpoint concerning  life that everything inanimate must give a beautiful shape and embody an object that touches the conscience.

Al-Ali  suffered a painful heartbreak  in his life,  when his son was  kidnapped in 2012  by armed terrorist organizations in Aleppo while he and his comrades of  the Syrian Arab Army were carrying out their national duty.

Al-Ali  stop working in his workshop for a while,  then decided to continue , starting from his goal of trying to please everyone  who  is attracted by his art works.

Al-Ali  believes that  art  reflects a humanitarian message , so he offers his works  to those who wish for a small fee, because he considers that life is not a material world  but rather love and humanity, and we must devote the idea of solidarity and confront the difficulties and sorrows that we all experience.

The Syrian craftsman  pointed out that his workshop is small and his tools are primitive including  an iron saw, a scalpel and a knife, but he depends on his vision of inanimate objects to transform  the neglected pieces into art works , realizing his happiness.

Al-Ali  employs his senses and imagination in drawing the designs of his  wooden works then implementing them  directly in a period of not more than two days, pointing out that some people express their  ideas for pieces they would like to own.

He  aspires to attract ,  train  and supporting young people’s talents  to work on the production of creative handicraft pieces.  Al-Ali addressed the craftsmen a message  to make their art available to everyone at the lowest costs to spread the message of art on the largest scale, affirming that  peace, security and good will  be achieved thanks to the  honorable stances of all the Syrians  and Syria will remain strong and well-preserved thanks to the  heroes of the Syrian Arab Army.
