The Cabinet in its weekly session: Continue to make all efforts to secure drinking water for the people of Hasaka

 Prime Minister Hussein Arnous has affirmed that all efforts will be made to secure drinking water for the people in the governorate of Hasakah according to the available capabilities to cover their needs after the Turkish occupation and its terrorist mercenaries have cut off their water.

During the Cabinet weekly session on August 23 headed by Eng. Arnous, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection was tasked with presenting  a study that includes the real costs of providing 20 basic and most necessary materials for the consumer basket and proposing their prices in a way that contributes to controlling the movement of markets and limits monopoly cases.

The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection made a presentation on the SyrianTrade’s positive intervention by opening new halls and increasing the list of offered materials.

 

In addition, the Minister of Health reviewed the reality of the spread of the Coronavirus and the procedures for raising the readiness of the health sector, increasing the capacity of testing centers, approving additional laboratories, and continuing to spread awareness about infection prevention.

The Minister of Industry indicated that the second line will operate in the oxygen plant of Hama Steel Company with a production capacity of 1250 cubic meters per day.

The Minister of Electricity spoke of the situation of the electrical sector and the measures taken by the ministry to increase the generating capacity in light of the available resources and also to ensure fair distribution between the consumer, service and productive sectors.

The Minister of Education presented the health protocol for the new academic year in all its stages and the mechanisms of its application to address the Corona epidemic, in a manner that guarantees the preservation of the health of students and workers in the educational field.

The Cabinet approved the completion of the rehabilitation of the Judicial Complex in Al-Haffah and the restoration of Burj Islam Port in the governorate of Lattakia.
