Ministry of Health: 70 new infections, 15 recoveries, and two deaths from the Coronavirus were recorded

On August 23, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 70 new infections, the recovery of 15 cases, and the death of two cases of the recorded infections with the Coronavirus in Syria.

The Ministry said  that the number of infections  recorded in Syria so far has reached 2,143, of which 490 have recovered, and 85 cases have died.

The first infection with Coronavirus was recorded in Syria on March 22 for a person coming from outside the country, while the first death was recorded on March 29.
