European Parliamentarian: Erdogan is creating crises with other countries to divert attention from the problems of his regime

The Czech member of the European Parliament, Ivan David, criticized the double standards policy pursued by the European Union towards both Belarus and Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime in Turkey.

In an article published on the Nova Repubblica website, Evan stated that the union interferes in the internal affairs of Belarus, which is not a candidate country to join the EU, while ignoring the serious violations of Erdogan regime in Turkey, which is a candidate country to join the EU

Evan referred to the falsification acts and violations that overwhelmed the recent Turkish presidential elections and the arrest of dozens of Turkish political opponents, pointing out that Turkey now has the largest number of political prisoners in the world in relation to the number of population.

Evan pointed out that the Turkish regime accuses anyone who criticizes it of supporting terrorism, yet the European Union remains silent, stressing that Erdogan is creating crises with various countries in an attempt to divert attention from the huge economic problems it faces.
