On August 16, unknown persons attacked the US-backed SDF militia’s checkpoint in the town of Al-Sour, the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Civil sources said that unknown persons targeted, with automatic weapons, the US-backed SDF militia’s checkpoint near the grain silos in the town of Al-Sour, without information about casualties among the militiamen.
On August 13, 11 SDF militia gunmen were killed and wounded in the SDF-run al-HoulCamp, east of al-Hasaka.
In another incident, a group of the US-backed SDF militia fired on citizens in the town of Tal Hamis and the village of Mujibra in the countryside of Hasaka, killing a young man and wounding four others, including a woman.
Local sources in Mujibra village, east of Ras al-Ain city, said the people of the village gathered to confront the US-backed SDF militiamen who used live ammunition to disperse the gathered people.
In the town of Tal Hamis in the northeastern countryside, local sources said that the US-backed SDF militiamen kidnapped the municipality’s accountant, Muhammad al-Huwaid.
The countryside of Deir Ezzor is witnessing continuous popular demonstrations demanding the withdrawal of the American occupation and its SDF militia.
