The Lebanese President, Michel Aoun, affirmed that all hypotheses and assumptions about the Beirut explosion will be taken into account. none will be ignored.
Aoun said in a TV interview tonight:
There is no delay in the investigation of the explosion, but we need time to find out the truth because it is manifold, and all the assumptions are possible and we will deal with them firmly.
Aoun indicated that he would ask the new government, upon its formation, to initiate reforms first and to achieve rapid results, explaining that the financial investigation approved by the caretaker government will determine the financial responsibilities that violate the laws and which were the starting point for corruption.
The Lebanese Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Hamad Hassan, announced yesterday that the number of victims of the port explosion has risen to 177.
