People’s Assembly kicks off its 3rd legislative term

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The People’s Assembly on Monday held the opening session of its first extraordinary session marking the start of its 3rd  legislative term.

The session, held amid precautionary measures against coronavirus, was chaired by the oldest MP Abdulhamid Asa’ad al-Zaher.

During the session, the secretaries of the People’s Assembly read the names of the members who won the PA seats and then the MPs were invited to take the constitutional oath.

Syria held its parliamentary elections on the July 19th.
