27 Palestinians have been killed and 2330 arrested in the last six months
The Center for Studies and Documentation of the Department of Labor and Planning of the Palestine Liberation Organization(PLO)confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities escalated their violations against the Palestinian people during the first half of 2020, which led to the death of 27 Palestinians, the injury of 1070 and the arrest of 2330 others.
According to Wafa News Agency, the center clarified in its report issued today on the most prominent Israeli violations against the Palestinian people that 17 Palestinians were martyred with the bullets of the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem while ten Palestinians were martyred in the besieged Gaza Strip, noting that the occupation authorities detained 63 Palestinians in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law .
The report indicated that 1070 Palestinians were injured as a result of the aggression of the occupation forces during their storming of Palestinian towns and villages, in addition to the arrest of about 2330 Palestinians from the West Bank, occupied Jerusalem and the besieged Gaza Strip, including 304 children and 70 women.
On the violations of the occupation against the Palestinian prisoners, the report stated that there are still about 4,700 prisoners in Israeli detention centers among them 160 children and 41 women, and about 700 prisoners are suffering from various diseases due to the lack of medical services and health care especially amid the spread of corona virus.
The report pointed out that the occupation authorities announced new settlement plans to seize hundreds of acres of Palestinian lands in Bethlehem and the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and occupied Jerusalem with the aim of establishing thousands of settlement units and expanding Israeli settlements, as well as destroying 357 homes and facilities.
The report indicated that the Israeli settlers carried out 495 attacks against Palestinians and their property, in addition to uprooting and burning 3,900 fruit trees and damaging tires of195 cars.
In the besieged Gaza Strip, ten Palestinians were martyred by the Israeli occupation forces, including four children, and 56 others were injured. The Israeli occupation forces also penetrated into the Palestinian lands north and east of the Gaza Strip and bulldozed them.
