Students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won two bronze medals and two certificates of appreciation at the European International Physics Olympiad, which was organized (remotely) by the International Physics Federation for pre-university education on the 20th and 21st of this month.
In a statement to SANA today, the Excellence and Creativity Authority stated that the two bronze medals were scored by the students Omar Burhani from the third secondary grade from Al-Saada Private School in Damascus and by Muhammad Subhi Abu Radan from the second secondary grade from Al-Basel School for the Outstanding Students in Aleppo. The two certificates of appreciation were received by Bashir Al-Rifai from the third Secondary grade from Al-Saada Private School in Damascus and Abdullah Al-Hosni from the second secondary grade from Al-Andalus Private School in Damascus
It is noteworthy that Syrian students are participating for the first time in this Olympiad, in which 57 countries from Europe and the rest of the world took part. The Olympiad included a new scientific pattern of tests that involves practical experiments developed in a computer modeling method by the Organizing Scientific Committee.
