The number of Coronavirus cases in Syria climbs to 627 as 19 new infections have been confirmed

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Syrian Health Ministry announced on Saturday that 19 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed, raising the total number of infections in Syria to 627.

In addition, seven patients have recovered while one has died, the ministry said in a statement.

 191 cases out of the 627 have been recovered and 39 have died.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22 for a person who came from abroad. The first death case was registered on March 29.
