Tehran: Iran will try US for threatening passenger plan

Tehran (ST): Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Islami affirmed that the threat to which the Iranian passenger plane was subjected  to is considered an illegal terrorist act that requires a legal trial of the US.

In a statement he made to Fars News Agency, Islami said that the Iranian Civil Aviation Establishment filed a protest at the International Aviation Organization and would follow up the complaint until the condemnation of the US.

In the same context, Iranian vice President for legal affairs said that the behavior of the US warplanes makes the US government accountable before the International Justice Court.

Earlier, the Iranian Civil Aviation Establishment said that it would try the US at international courts because of the threat made by two US warplanes to an Iranian passenger plane  in the Syrian air space that was heading to Beirut.

The spokesman for the establishment Reda Ja’afar Zadah said that his Establishment would follow up the case at the International Aviation Organization.
