Suspension of the holy Eid Al-Adha prayers in the governorates of Damascus and the countryside of Damascus due to the spread of the Corona virus

Damascus, (ST) – The Awqaf (Islamic endowments) Ministry announced the suspension of holy Eid Al-Adha prayers in the governorates of Damascus and the countryside of Damascus, due to the spread of the Corona epidemic in the two governorates, in addition to taking several other measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

In a statement, SANA received a copy of , the Ministry decided to suspend all lessons, councils, religious teaching seminars, activities of Al-Assad institutes in the mosques of Damascus and its countryside, and to close all condolence halls and weddings affiliated with the Ministry in the two governorates until further notice.

The decision included the continuation of Friday prayers and congregational prayers in Damascus, the countryside of Damascus and all governorates, provided that they are in compliance with the health rules and the precautionary measures currently in force.
