Parliamentary election’s results to be announced this evening in Damascus

The results of the parliamentary elections for the 3rd legislative term will be announced today at 18:00  in the  headquarters of the Ministry of Justice. 
 
A press conference will be held after the announcement of the results, according to the Higher Judicial Committee of Elections.
 
8,735 people applied for their candidacy in March 2020, according to the Higher Judicial Committee for election.

On July, 12, 2020, the committee declared that 2100 parliamentary candidates will compete against one another for votes in 7313 vote centers.

However, it was declared on July, 19, that  1,656 candidates, including 200 women compete against one another for votes.
