Ashrawi renews calls for international community to halt Israel’s annexation plans

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Member of the Executive Committee for the Palestine Liberation Organization Hanan Ashrawi reiterated that the plans of the Israeli occupation to annex lands of the West Bank is a crime and the International community has to halt it.

WAFA News Agency quoted Ashrawi as saying in a statement that the Israeli annexation plan is a crime and a systematic devastation of the Palestinian people’s rights, especially its right to establish an independent state on June 4th 1967 borderlines with Jerusalem as its capital.

Ashrawi went on to say that that the non-accountability of  Israel by the International community about its crimes against the Palestinians and the absence of international protection for them would encourage the occupation authorities to press ahead with their crimes and violate international law demanding the international community to immediately move and halt the occupation’s violations.

The Israeli occupation authorities’ declaration about its intention to annex parts of the West Bank in implementation of the so-called deal of the century has provoked wide Arab, European and international condemnation.
