Popular Committee for supporting the Palestinian people reaffirms support for Syria in the face of western sanctions

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Syrian Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Scheme has reaffirmed its support for Syria in the confrontation of all unilateral coercive measures imposed on the country including the so-called “Caesar Act” that targets the Syrian people.

During a meeting on Monday, the Committee stressed its condemnation of the American-Zionist schemes against Syria, stressing its adherence to the unity of all Syria territories and the need to complete the liberation of these territories from all forms of occupation and terrorism.

The Committee called on Arab masses, people’s organizations and trade unions to activate common Arab action against the so-called “Deal of the Century” and to face the impacts of the US “Caesar Act” on Syria.  It condemned attempts by some Arab regimes to normalize ties with the Israeli occupation entity.

The Committee also condemned the Turkish regime’s transferring of takfiri terrorists to Libya and its crimes against the Libyan people with the support of the United States.  The Turkish regime’s converting of the Hagia Sophia Church in Istanbul to a mosque was also condemned by the Committee.

The committee saluted the people in the occupied Syrian Golan who are steadfastly confronting the US-backed Israeli occupation’s attempts to annex this dear part of Syria.
