Two earthquakes shake Deir Ezzour and al-Mayadeen

Damascus (ST): Two tremors measuring 4.2 and 4.1 degrees on the Richter Scale shook northeast of Deir Ezzour and east of al-Mayadeen.

The National Seismological Centre recorded two earthquakes with a strength of 4.2 and 4.1 on the Richter Scale that took place at 1:30 am and 1.51 am  at night, noting that the first was 49 kms to north east of Deir Ezzour and the second was 62 kms to east of al-Mayadeen city.

Earlier, the Centre recorded an earthquake measuring 4 degrees at the Richter Scale 70 kms to the South of Haska city on July 14, preceded by another one on July 7th measuring 4.4 on the Richter Scale north east of Deir Ezzour.
