UN Human Rights Council adopts resolution in confrontation of coronavirus proposed by Russia and China

Geneva (ST): The UN Human Rights Council issued a resolution, proposed by Russia and China, that stresses the necessity of complete respect of states’ sovereignty and their pivotal role in combatting epidemics.

France Press Agency said that the resolution was adopted unanimously by the 47 member states during the 44th session of the UN Human Rights Council based in Geneva. The resolution underlines the importance of international cooperation, especially during the times of emergency health situations and pandemics, stressing the necessity of complete respect of the states’ sovereignty and giving precedence  to national priorities.

The resolution also affirms that the emergency measures taken by the world states in confrontation of Covid 19 pandemic should comply with the international human law.

The Resolution reiterates that any vaccination for Corona-virus should be in favor of the whole  world’s people, stressing the necessity of  just , speedy and unrestricted availability  of medicines and vaccinations by all world peoples.
