Hasaka’s residents affirm that holding parliamentary elections on time constitute a major victory for Syrians’ will

Hasaka province’s residents have asserted that the forthcoming Syrian parliamentary elections to be held on Sunday constitute a major victory for the will of the Syrian people.

In statements to the correspondent of the Syrian News Agency (SANA) in Hasaka, the residents said that Syria is at a turning point in enhancing the steadfastness of its people and supporting the victories of the Syrian army over terrorism.

“The participation in parliamentary elections is a national duty as Syria – after  more that 9 years of  fighting terrorism- needs honest people to confront the ongoing economic war,” Ali Mohammad, a resident in  Hasaka city, said.

Another resident, Hussam Hamada, said: “The participation in the parliamentary elections is a message of challenge to the whole world that Syria is able to achieve victory over the economic war being waged on it.”

On his part, Abdul Hamis al-Karko called on the parliamentary candidates, who will win in the elections, to be active in enhancing the the steadfastness of the people of Syria.

Other residents called for the restoration of Hasaka province as Syria’s food basket to contribute to addressing the economic war being imposed on the country.
