Slovak Foreign Minister: The Turkish regime is violating international law through its actions in Syria and Libya

Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korchuk confirmed that the Turkish regime is explicitly violating international law through what it is doing in Syria and Libya and through excavations in the Mediterranean Sea at the expense of Greece and Cyprus- the two European Union member states.

“Slovakia shares with other European countries its concern about the need to work on preparing more sanctions to impose on the Turkish regime if it continues alone the same path- a path that cannot be accepted by the European Union,” the Slovak news agency quoted Korchuk as saying in a statement to reporters.

Korchuk pointed out that the decision of the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to convert the Hagia Sophia Church into a mosque, is a step that deserves condemnation and does not help consolidate coexistence and therefore cannot be accepted by European countries.
