Syria affirms that western countries delived aid to regions where terrorist groups exist

Syria has affirmed its rejection of the report recently released by UN Commission of Inquiry on Syria. 

 

 Hussam al-Din Ala, Syria’s Ambassador to the UN in Geneva asserted that the report lacks the minimum criterion of objective and independent investigation and has adoptd work methods that depend on sources related to terrorist groups.

 

His remarks came during a session held today by the Human Rights’ council on a report about the situation in Idleb and its surroundings. 

 

“The new report is similar to the previous reports which have nothing to do with the reality and the factors of crisis in Syria, mainly, terrorism, US and Turkish aggression and the unilateral measures against the Syrian people,” the ambassador clarified.

 

He asserted that the Syrian army fights terrorist groups in Idleb and in other Syrian regions with the aim of saving the people of those regions from the hegemony of the organizations classified by the Security Council as terrorist entities linked to ISIS and al-Qaeda, which include thousands of foreign terrorists, who were brought to Syria by Erdogan regime. 

 

The ambassador pointed out that the insistence of the western countries at Security Council on delivering humanitarian aid to regions where terrorist groups exist through illegal border crossings proves the level of politicization adopted by these countries.

 

He reiterated the Syrian government’s commitment to respond to the humanitarian needs of all citizens all over the Syrian territories.

 

Ala stressed that the most brutal humanitarian suffering imposed on the Syrian people is that resulting from the economic terrorism and the siege.
