Cairo (ST): Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri denied the allegations of Turkish Foreign Minister regarding the existence of contacts between Egypt and Turkey on Libya.

Earlier, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi affirmed that there were external forces that support violence and terrorism in Libya, expressing the readiness of his country to offer all possible support to help Libyan people.

In turn, the spokesman for the Libyan army major general Ahmed al-Mesmari expressed the readiness of the Libyan army to confront any attack in al-Jafra and Sert, stressing that all the agreements signed between the government of al-Wifak and the Turkish regime are illegitimate.
