PROVINCES,(ST)_Fresh gains have been made by units of armed forces outside the capital amid reports of inflicting heavy losses upon foreign-backed terrorists in the northern Aleppo province.
In details, the units of armed forces have impose control over four towns–Sakka, Tal Sakka, al-Delbeh, and al-Mansoura- in the Eastern Ghouta outside Damascus and destroyed a tunnel linking Harasta suburb with the west of Damascus-Homs highway
The 200 meter-tunnel of the depth 10 meters had been used by terrorists.
This fresh gain coincided with controlling all buildings overlooking the Damascus International Airport road in Bet Sahm area after eliminating many of terrorists.
Unknown number of terrorists has been also killed in a series of qualitative operations carried out against their groupings in al-Mleha, Harasta, Rima farms areas.
Meanwhile, units of armed forces have repelled an armed terrorist group’s bid to sneak from Lebanon into al-Sarhaneyeh town in al-Qusayr in the central Homs province, according to a military source.
It was also reported that the units of armed forces carried out a qualitative operation in the eastern al-Dmeneh town and confronted armed terrorist groups’ attempt to attack some military posts in al-Dar al-Kabira outside Homs.
Qualitative operations in northern provinces
In the northern Aleppo province, the units of armed forces continue targeting hideouts of terrorists in the industrial area in al-Sheikh Najjar area and near Meneg airbase and central prison.
As many as 12 terrorists were killed during operations against terrorists in al-Bakkara area and on Aleppo-Idlib road.
Other operations were, in addition, carried out against terrorist groupings in Idlib province resulted in killing unknown number of al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists.
An official source stated that the operations targeted terrorists in Maret al-Noaman city, Jer al-Shogor countryside, on Idlib-Maaretmesrin road, Sermin-Idlib road, and near Ram Hamdan junction.
It added that 3 explosive devices have been dismantled on al-Mastomeh-Idlib road while a mine was detonated near Abo al-Dohor airbase caused the death of the terrorist who was planting it.
