Several Palestinians injured in ante-settlement demonstration in Nablus

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Several Palestinians were injured during an ante-settlement demonstration in the village of Asira to the north of Nablus city in the West Bank. WAFA News Agency said that Israeli troops  launched gas bombs against hundreds of Palestinians who took to the streets in the demonstration organized by the PLO and the Committee of Resisting the Racist Wall and Settlement causing the suffocation  of several Palestinians.

The demonstrators gathered at the top of Mount Ebal where the occupation authorities threatened to expand settlement activities. They raised Palestinian flags and shouted slogans  that denounced the occupation troops and extremist settlers’ recurrent attacks against the Palestinians and their properties.

The participants also expressed categorical rejection of the occupation authorities’ plans to annex lands of the West Bank and pledged to press ahead with resistance in defence of land and rights.
