Occupied Jerusalem (ST): The UNESCO has renewed the call for protecting the Arab and Islamic heritage in occupied Palestine through adopting two resolutions unanimously in this concern.
Palestinian foreign minister Riyad al-Maleki said that adopting the two resolutions proposed by Palestine for the protection of the Palestinian educational and cultural institutions and heritage sites in the Palestinian cities came at the peak of the battle waged by the Palestinians in confrontation of the aggressive Israeli annexation plans which run contrary to the international law.
Al-Maleki stressed the necessity of protecting al-Aqsa Mosque against Israeli sacrilegious acts demanding the UNESCO and the international community to put pressure on the occupation authorities to halt their violation of the Palestinian cultural heritage.
